sailor moon

As a pre-teen I was obsessed with manga and Anime, this however was unfortunate because all I knew about the genre at the time was that it was vaguely Asian.

This was in a time before streaming video or social media, in fact the internet was barely a thing at the time, so my knowledge and exposure to anime and manga was restricted to German tv (I myself am danish).

this meant that I would race home on my bike so that I was sure that I would not miss Sailor moon on RTL. Granted I didn't really understand much of what was going on the animation was repetitive, but I hardly cared; this was as close as I was going to get to a combination of two parallel passions of mine, Barbie dolls and monster movies.

That is why I swallowed all the Sailor moon that I could find, and to this day, when people talk to me about the show I feel tremendous affection for them. Even through I was never a super fan (mainly because I had no idea what was going on, it was German TV after all), I still consider myself a appreciator of the sailor moon universe
